solidworks unsuppress parts in assembly

solidworks unsuppress parts in assembly

I am using Solidworks 2009 SP0 to model components and sub-assemblies at different stages of production of a catheter. Since the various catheter tubing is bought in straight cylinders, and then glued/melted/bent at the various manufacturing stages, I modelled the basic components as they are bought from the manufacturer, then created new parts reflecting the various modifications that the components undergo in each manufacturing stage. At each manufacturing stage, I created an assembly with the modified parts to reflect its current state of assembly.

My problem is as follows:

I was able to create all of the above components and sub-assemblies, but upon re-opening them at a later date some of the components appear to be permanently suppressed. I tried right-clicking on the component and selecting "Unsuppress" but that doesn't have any effect. I have set External References to Load All Referenced Documents, and still no change... I also tried re-importing the components, thinking that it might be a referencing issue. Still no change.

Hi i am Eric.in this website i will share cad design tips and techniques .leran to use solidworks software . and more ,you can get latest version solidworks software at low price in my webshop.
In this video tutorial i will show you the trick about solidworks

How to import your SolidWorks model in Blender and render it using Yafray. ... It has a built in render engine called PhotoWorks. With the ... We'll import the exported VRML data into Blender. Here is where the troubleshooting begins. The most common error message we encounter with transient thermal studies is "Incompatible initial temperatures". The wording of this error message does not provide a clear indication of what is wrong. Fortunately, the 'fix' is very simple.
As Engineers, we usually tweak each and every analysis, usually by refining the mesh in one area or another, even between studies. When using thermal studies for inputs to transient analysis, this is not a good thing! Getting past the cryptic wording of this error message, what it really means is the meshes for each study are not identical. So if you see this error message, the 'fix' is to drag-and-drop the mesh from your input study into the new study. This guarantees that the meshes are identical, allowing your transient thermal analysis work to continue. Now go make your products better with SolidWorks Simulation!

Back a couple years ago SolidWorks gave us the capability to add flagnotes to our drawings without having to put a ''boarder'' over the number or letter. Although a small problem there are only 99 of each. Yes I know 99 is pleanty for 99.9% of all users. BUT, have you ever wanted another type of symbol, like a critical dimension symbol, key feature, or a tweek on a symbol that is already there, etc?. These can all be done with an edit to a file in the SolidWorks directory. The file is called gtol.sym. Its essentially a text file with the extention changed to sym.
The gtol.sym file is found in c:\\lang\english directory\. Open the file with notenad or any text editor you choose.
Opening up the file you will find there are editing and new creation directions at the top of the file.Step 1 is to make your own new catagory. Add a ''#'', and without a space add a shortened version name of what you catagory you are creating followed by a comma. Again no space then the whole catagory name you would like.
Example ''#Crit,Critical Notes'' (without the quotes).
Step 2, hit enter to go to the next line, and now its time to create the symbol itself. We need to give a name for SolidWorks to associate the symbol with and a name that the user pulls from the symbol pull down list. To do this type a ''*'' followed by possibly shortened name of the symbol, followed by a comma and then the name the user will see while creating the note.
Example ''*Crit1,Critical Note 1'' (without the quotes).
Step 3 is building the symbol with lines, arcs, circles, text and the other types listed above based on start end points.
Example:
A,LINE 0.,0.,2.0,0.
A,LINE 2.0,0.,3.2,.8
A,LINE 3.2,.8,2.0,1.6
A,LINE 2.0,1.6,0,1.6
A,LINE 0,1.6,0.,0.
A,TEXT 1.1,.8,
CRITCreating the symbol lines and all can be frustrating at times, but if you copy and paste from a similar type symbol, it will be much easier. If you need to create a symbol from scratch then drawing the symbol in SolidWorks and getting data from the x,y positions based with the lower left position at 0,0 and the distances in metric.
A symbol can be placed in your drawing, part or assembly any of 3 different ways.

solidworks refresh an intersection curve

solidworks refresh an intersection curve

solidworks  refresh an intersection curve
Intersection curve
Intersection Curve opens a sketch and creates a sketched curve at the following kinds of intersections:
A plane and a surface or a model face
You can use the resulting sketched intersection curve in the same way that you use any sketched curve, including the following tasks:
Measure thickness at various cross sections of a part. (See steps below.)
Create sweep paths that represent the intersection of a plane and the part.
Make sections out of imported solids to create parametric parts.
To use the sketched curve to extrude a feature, the sketch that opens must be a 2D sketch. Other tasks can be performed using a 3D sketch.
To open a 2D sketch, select the plane first then click Intersection Curve.
To open a 3D sketch, click Intersection Curve first then select the plane.
